Basic Fibroblast growth factor is a heparin binding protein that promotes angiogenesis and cell proliferation. bFGF also plays a critical role in the development and maintenance of undifferentiated human embryonic stem cells. In healthy tissue bFGF will remain membrane bound, during wound healing and tumor formation signal proteins activate bFGF allowing it to mediate blood vessel formation.

bFGF-nAb is a nano-antibody that binds bFGF.  It is characterized by its small size, ~12.5kd, so the molar concentration of 1µg of bFGF-nAb is equivalent to that of 10µg of a conventional antibody, meaning you can safely use one fifth (1/5) the amount of nAb compared to a traditional antibody.
